The Digital Sustainability Index (DSI) is a composite score (0-100) measuring an organisation's national digital maturity context across four dimensions. It is grounded in the framework of Ramachandran & Oshri (2022) and computed using publicly available national indicators from the ITU, World Bank, OECD, and UN.
All indicators are Z-score normalised (zero mean, unit variance) before PCA so different units are comparable.
For EU27 countries with direct DESI 2023 pillar scores, a 30% DESI blend is applied to all four dimensions, making the score more authoritative for European organisations.
SDG 9 (Innovation & Infrastructure) adjusts digital and orientation; SDG 13 (Climate) and SDG 16 (Institutions) adjust governance and partnership - each at 15% weight. Source: Sachs et al. (2023) SDG Report.
AIDSRICA assesses a digital initiative for regulatory obligations, ESG/carbon risk, digital maturity, a roadmap, and an executive report in about 40 seconds.
Every assessment runs through all eight stages automatically.
AIDSRICA runs your initiative through an eight-stage pipeline. The guiding principle is the language model proposes, machine learning validates, and deterministic logic anchors: every score, carbon figure, and regulatory trigger is computed deterministically, so the numbers are identical regardless of which language model writes the narrative.
A composite Digital Sustainability Index built with principal component analysis over public national indicators - ITU ICT Development Index, World Bank World Development Indicators, the European Commission's DESI, and the GSMA Mobile Connectivity Index. It places your operating geography in context; it is not a score of your organisation itself.
A layered approach: a deterministic rule engine encodes well-defined obligations; a machine-learning classifier (validated against a hand-annotated gold standard) catches semantically related regulations; and retrieval over a curated corpus of primary regulatory sources surfaces the specific obligation text. Each trigger carries a confidence band.
Deterministic estimates from published emission factors - DEFRA 2025 GHG Conversion Factors, IEA electricity grid intensities, Uptime Institute PUE benchmarks, and Green Web Foundation grid data - with country-specific uncertainty ranges. Forward trajectories use IEA World Energy Outlook decarbonisation scenarios.
Sector materiality from the SASB Materiality Map (IFRS Foundation), GRI 2021 Universal Standards, and Open Sustainability Index peer benchmarks, combined with a structural risk model that the language model confirms or adjusts with narrative reasoning.
Before the report is written, every quantitative claim is matched back to a source and labelled fully grounded, partially grounded, or ungrounded. The grounding rate shown on your report weights partial matches at one half, so you can see how well-supported the analysis is.
Narrative synthesis uses Google Gemini. It writes the prose only - it does not decide the scores, carbon figures, or which regulations apply. Those are produced by the deterministic and machine-learning components above, which is why the analysis is reproducible.

Your initiative description (and any uploaded document text) is sent to Google Gemini, the AI model that performs the analysis. Do not include trade secrets, personal data, or commercially sensitive details.
We store only your email address (to scope your saved analyses to you) and a session cookie. There is no password. Signing out revokes the session; sign-in links expire after 15 minutes and sessions after 30 days.
Your analysis history, obligation statuses, and organisation profile are stored in your browser's local storage only, not on our server.
Completed analyses are saved under a long, unguessable run ID. Signed-in analyses are private to your account; anonymous analyses are unowned and require the run ID to open. A share link is created only when you click Share, and lets anyone you send it to view that one report.
